Ravenswood is a Uniting Church, Prep to Year 12 Day and Boarding school which aims to equip and inspire girls to participate in and contribute to our evolving global society. Based in Gordon on Sydney’s North Shore, we are one of Australia’s leading independent girls’ schools, offering holistic education with a strong academic focus.
The school focuses on producing well-rounded individuals through an exceptional academic education where each student receives individual personalised attention to achieve their best, complemented with a broad range of opportunities in performing arts, sports, creative arts, speech, languages, academic clubs and an extensive outdoor education program. Students have the choice of HSC or IB as an exit credential. Over 54% of students graduating Year 12 achieved an ATAR of 90 or more. Most students go on to tertiary study with University of Sydney, University of NSW and University of Technology the most popular choices. Ravenswood offers boarding from Years 7-12.
The school grounds feature quadrangles and courtyards, a multi-purpose complex with heated swimming pool, gymnasium, a “Strength and Conditioning centre” and an Athletics Field. The Ravenswood Centenary Centre includes a Performing Arts theatre, music centre and exhibition areas. Junior School students are catered for within the Junior School centre with a Resource Centre, playground and play equipment area, adventure playground and Assembly Hall.
The Ravenswood Residential College was refurbished in 2017 and is a modern, stylish, and comfortable home-away-from-home for our community of 50 boarders from Years 7-12. The culture is warm and nurturing, with small numbers ensuring strong relationships and a close family atmosphere.
