About school

Billanook College is a co-educational school in the tradition of the Uniting Church, catering for students from Early Learning to Year 12. We feel that we have a unique responsibility and strive to create an environment that will challenge and encourage your child. At Billanook, we truly believe that every student is important. In a nurturing and committed learning environment, our students gain a quiet confidence to flourish and to discover their own personal best – whatever that may be. The relationship between staff, student and family is essential for successful learning. We foster this relationship to ensure that the individual needs of each child are understood and catered for. Staff members bring ideas, passion, and diverse experiences to their teaching. Your child will benefit from the ability that all our staff members have for understanding the learning styles of all their students. We aim to broaden your child’s thinking by encouraging them to voice their thoughts and opinions and find their own learning pathway. As a school in the tradition of the Uniting Church in Australia, our Mission is to develop a dynamic, caring learning community which fosters the growth of the whole being of each girl and boy – in body, mind and spirit; providing a range of pathways to life-long learning through and beyond academic excellence.
